The Department of Homeland Security released the new form November 14th of 2016 without a great deal of fanfare or ceremony. However, the new Employment Eligibility Verification expands on innovations to the previous form and adds requirements. The I-9 instructions are now a 15-page document detailing a number of the new features such as; replacement receipts, “N/A” notation requirements are greatly expanded, to name just a few of the I-9 changes.
